greta solid head for precise work By: Paul Hendley, on November 23, 2016 Pros: Cons: "this is what I needed for precise control - for careful macro or landscape shot placement, fine tuning camera angels on a ball head is a multi-adjustment lottery - with this kit, it is simple quick and precise. Note that if you use arca-swiss connectors you will also have to consider investing in the Hejnar plate replacement (which is a totally solid piece of engineering) or equivalent unless you like spending your time swapping connectors or want to introduce a source of movement |

Great Tool By: Mr. Roger W. Marshall, on January 31, 2010 Pros: Cons: "I have various heads for my tripods but this is the one that will travel with me in future unless weight is a major problem. The ball heads that I have ( manfrotto & Giottos ) can move after setting making it difficult to get and maintain exact framing. Additionally they have a habit of loosening during adjustment so that the overall position of the camera is lost. A planned holiday to the arctic to photograph the Aurora led me to buy the geared head as I though that it would minimise fumbling in the... |
